Muno no Taka ReviewDrama: Talentless TakanoRomaji: Muno no TakaJapanese: 無能の鷹Screenwriter: Nemoto NonjiNetwork: NetflixActors: Nanao, Shiono AkihisaIn the opening scene we see Hiwada Michito sitting on a toilet bowl just minutes before his interview. He is a person with no confidence and stress and anxiety cause him stomach pain. There in the interview she met Takano Tsumeko, another interviewee. She is very confident, gorgeous and poised like she is a Miss universe candidate. Her very competent aura helped her pass her job interview with ease. Michito miraculously passed the interview as well.Shockingly Takano was very incompetent, she works in an IT company but is not even computer literate, her knowledge in computers is the same as those of old age. Michito who joined the company at the same time is good at his work but he lacks confidence and since they work in sales it affected his work. Takano on the other hand has no problem negotiating with clients, she manages to close contracts even without technical knowledge."A talented hawks hides it claws"Other employees were speculating that Takano (taka in Japanese means hawk) was hiding something that she is doing on purpose, faking his persona and just waiting for the right moment to attack just like hawk (Japan loves symbolism because why not).Muno no Taka is a satirical representation of office work. A very relatable indeed there are many characters here and I am sure you will find one you will be able to relate. I came up with this conclusion that Japanese people are so overworked that they came up with this formula for this drama. Everything here is exaggerated, the plot, acting, development, situation and the characters are just exaggerated stereotypes of people in an office setting. To enjoy this drama depends on how you get the comedy. If you take it seriously you will definitely hate it. But if you are not new to Japanese dramas you should have watched something similar. I am not saying all Japanese dramas are like this but these types of Japanese dramas are common, dramas that aim for zero boring moments hence all the exaggerations.
