Typically their manga and subsequent anime adaptations have either felt redundant, for example Umeboshi Denka, Jungle Kurobe, and Biriken; particularly child-oriented, for example Doraemon, 21 Emon amd Mojako; or rather heavy-handed, like Warau Salesman and Pro Golfer Saru.
