On Wednesday, June 30, Seven Seas Entertainment announced that it had licensed Yayoi Oosawa’s slice of life Yuri manga Hello, Melancholic! The first of three volumes will be released in English digitally and in print in February 2022.The publisher describes the series: Asano Minato is a tall but stooping first-year high school student. Though she’s an awesome trombone player, she does everything she can to fade into the background. Despite her best efforts, however, Minato catches the attention of her bubbly and charismatic upperclasswoman Hibiki, who wants Minato to join the band she’s forming at school and won’t take no for an answer! Will Minato be able to let go of the past and play in a band again? Can polar opposites harmonize through music? Slow jam your way into this dulcet yuri series! Hello, Melancholic was serialized in Comic Yuri Hime from June 2019 to late 2020. Ichijinsha published three volumes in Japanese.Yayoi Ohsawa is a Yuri manga artists known for her series 2DK, G Pen, Mezamashi Tokei. She has also contributed to the Chocolat and Citrus Comic Yuri anthologies.Look forward to the release of Hello, Melancholic Volume 1 in English in February 2022
