On June 17, Studio Élan celebrated the fifth anniversary of Yuri visual novel Highway Blossoms that the game and its DLC, Highway Blossoms: Next Exit, will be ported to consoles under the bundled name Highway Blossoms Gold Rush Edition. Highway Blossoms is developed by Studio Élan and Studio Coattails. The game will be ported by Ratalaika Games and published by Sekai Games. The exact consoles and the release date of Gold Rush Editions will be announced at a later date, according to the developer.The developer describes the game: Highway Blossoms is a short Yuri kinetic novel set in the American Southwest. After an old gold rush miner’s journal is discovered, supposedly detailing where he hid parts of his stash, a nationwide craze begins as would-be prospectors try to solve its clues and strike it rich.Amber couldn’t care less. Wandering the desert in a recently-inherited motorhome, she mourns the loss of her grandfather - indifferent and unaware of the hunt happening around her. It’s not until she meets Marina, a young hitchhiker lost in New Mexico that the girls get swept up in the rush. Highway Blossoms is considered a classic Western Yuri visual novel. One of the two studios created by its co-directors after its release, Studio Élan, focuses entirely on Yuri visual novels and media. Studio Élan is also set to release a console port of its acclaimed visual novel Heart of the Woods on July 8. When it announced the highway blossoms console port, Studio Élan also revealed that the game had sold over 50,000 copies on steam.
