Higurashi When They Cry will be taking a stab at a new animation, it was announced this week. The most recent anime based on the visual novels from 07th Expansion was an OVA way back in 2013, so the hype will be on for this new project for a new decade. Neither the teaser trailer or visual mentions whether this anime is set to be another OVA or a full-length series. It has however been confirmed that it will be produced by citrus studio Passione, including character designs by Akio Watanabe of the Monogatari anime series. So, are you gripped for this one yet?
