Almost three weeks after Junko’s death, two of her murderers -Hiroshi Miano and Jo Ogura-were arrested on January 23rd, 1989. JunkoFuruta was 17 years old when she died in January 1989. JunkoFuruta was murdered and her body dumped at a construction site in Tokyo. Furuta's offenders have served their sentences but are free as of 2025.JunkoFuruta's cause of death was torture and repeated assault. JunkoFuruta finally died a few hours later. The thugs who’d abducted her hid her corpse in a 55-gallon drum, filled it with concrete, and left it in an empty factory lot in Koto, a waterfront area just east of Tokyo’s center. It took a year for anyone to find her body. She would have been as old as my youngest aunt today. I picked out these photos because most people only see that black and white yearbook photo or the other one (idk how to describe it).
