Carmichael (July 18, 1939 – July 13, 2016) was an American politician. He was a Republican member of the Ohio House of Representatives, representing the 3rd District from 2000 to 2008. I was introduced to JimCarmichael’s writing as a kid stuck at home on a sick day reading dad’s Outdoor Life, Field & Stream and Sports Afield.
