The Missouri State Highway Patrol arrested 49-year-old Carlos M. Arriaga Rivas of Sedalia at 5:39 p.m. Sunday in Pettis County. He now faces a charge of driving while intoxicated. Rivas was taken to the Pettis County Jail, where he was booked and released. (Arrests investigated by agencies outside the Missouri State Highway Patrol are not included.) Clark had been involved in a motor vehicle crash earlier that day near Route 42 and Crestwood Drive. He ran from the crash before being taken into custody by the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP).
