The live-action Cowboy Bebop is on the back burner after John Cho’s on-set injury, but he’s been well enough lately to chat about his role as Spike. While Cho was on the press junket for Hollywood’s new take on The Grudge, IGN caught up with him and snuck in a few Bebop related questions. Along with giving props to his favourite moments in the anime, Cho also expressed his commitment to staying faithful to Shinichiro Watanabe’s vision, at least as far as Spike’s character is concerned. “We gotta keep it strange,” he said. And here’s hoping that’s true for the whole show, as the actor seems excited about what he’s seen so far.
